Some of the HOMES, LIGHTHOUSES and STUFF that Nemo build in Second Life.

Apart from writing, my friends and the building are my main reasons for being in SecondLife - I love to build.
As Second Life is vithout gravity, and most other limitations, you can build whatever you want... once you learned how to build, that is.

Japanese House
Image

a box in the sky...
The skybox is 2000 m up and large enough to hold the house and its surrounding landscape.
The mountains and the sky are textures, fitted together, on the walls and ceiling inside the box - the illusion is near perfect until you get very close to the walls.
The house is build in the traditional style used in parts of Japan.
I put cloud textures on the outside of my skyboxes - think it looks cool...

A diagonal look towards the back of the valley.
If you look carefully you can see the juncture of the walls and the cieling.

I hung a small sun to light, varm and nourish the valley - after all 2000 m is high up and it's pretty cold... Nemo watching the alpenglow as the sun sets

Another skybox
Image

This skybox is 1000 m up and simulates one of the top floors in a building under construction.
The cityscapes are textures, fitted together, on the walls inside the box.

Nemo squats on this floor of this building whenever he feels like going to the big city and be a bad-ass city punk...
Nemo just takes his bicycle under one arm and instantly teleports down to the street *poof*

If you look closely you'll notice our cat, Gem, on the floor
two of the Chinese cabinets Nemo build.
Yes, Gem is there too, looking into a cabinet - she's very curious.

And Gem is there too, under a chair - she follows me around.
